Inputting Data Quickly

Since this app requires manual input for all game data, efficient data entry is crucial. The whole point of this is to make exploration more fun, and less tedious. Here are some tips on how do achieve this.

Adding Fauna/Flora with a Known Resource

You may like to wait until fully scanning a Fauna/Flora before adding it to the ISS. That means you'll want to go quickly from the Add dialog to the Edit dialog. Here's how:

1. Click the Add button.
2. Enter Fauna/Flora name using autocomplete (Tab).
3. Tap the Enter key to save.
4. Tap the Enter key again to open the Edit dialog.
5. Select the known Resource.
6. Tap Ctrl + Enter to save.

Adding Pictures Conveniently

There are a variety of ways to import pictures into the ISS (check out the 🛈 icon in the app), but my favorite is the clipboard method:

1. Be in-game or looking at a screenshot image.
2. Tap WinKey + Shift + S to activate the Windows built-in snipping tool.
3. Left click and drag to crop an image into your clipboard.
4. Go to Starfield ISS and navigate to a Fauna/Flora/Outpost.
5. Tap Ctrl + V to paste your image in.
