Install Scripts

Several packages need to be installed on the raspberry pi as well as PC. These files are included in this repository. The packages include:

• OpenCV
• Tensorflow
• Arduino IDE

Config files

These are certain files that must be present in the project direcory. They include:

• Haar cascade of face
• Trainner yml
• Gesture database All the files have been included in this repository in various sub-folders

Installation guide

1. Follow the steps in this tutorial to install openCV on raspberry pi: https://www.alatortsev.com/2018/09/05/installing-opencv-3-4-3-on-raspberry-pi-3-b/

2. Follow the following video tutorial to install tensorflow on raspberry pi: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqCnW_2XDw8

3. Install Arduino IDE on the laptop. Perform the following steps: http://www.circuitbasics.com/arduino-basics-installing-software/

4. Enable Pi camera by following the following steps: https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/camera.md

5. Install 'Putty' and 'VNC viewer' on laptop and connect it to raspberry pi as per following video tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivFz-8K3L0g

6. Set-up hardware as per system design diagram

7. Execute code for various modules!
