The NBA's Constitution and By-Laws were released to the public in the wake of the Donald Sterling incident. In the interest of having these documents a bit easier to navigate -- as I previously did with the NBA's 2017 Collective Barginaing Agreement (CBA) -- I have parsed the Constitution and By-Laws and formatted the two documents via bookdown. Both of these documents are as of May 29, 2012 as of the original documents and have likely changed. Most obviously, the Player List and Roster requirements in the By-Laws (Section 6) must have been ammended to account for the creation of two-way contracts in the 2017 CBA.
This repository has now been updated to reflect the September 2019 update of the NBA's Constitution and By-Laws.
I do not own any rights to the Constitution or By-Laws and am simply redistributing them in a different format. This is not the official version of either the Constitution and By-Laws and I am not responsible for any errors that might be present in this document.
