The first chapter is aimed at the Atom beginner and is meant to be able to be read very quickly to get you up and running and simply using Atom. This second chapter is to advance the user to being an intermediate Atom user - able to navigate using symbols, utilize multiple cursors, use and set up their own snippets, customize settings, etc. Everything short of writing their own packages.

  • packages and themes
  • working with text
  • selections
  • movement
  • bookmarks
  • encodings
  • find and replace
  • autocompletion/snippets
  • folding
  • panes
  • special modes - markdown, git
  • spell checking
  • basic customization
  • key bindings
  • atom from the command line

I think the second chapter is effectively complete for a first pass. I'll merge this in and start in on the third.
