Hello Friends, Welcome to How-To with Dog

This repo is mainly for the wiki. Each project in here will more than likely have its own individual Directory Structure. Most of what is contained in here is mainly for homeserver stuff since it is my hobby and I enjoy learning more and making it better.

The goal of this guide is to circumvent any ISP silliness whether it be CGNAT or a Dynamic IPv4 address by creating a secure tunnel between a remote vps server, and a machine in your home. No port forwarding required! All you need are two machines running wireguard, a domain name (optional I suppose) and 5-8 bucks a month for the VPS

If you host anything on the Internet then the chances are that your host is getting hammered by bots. Now, you could set up SSH key authentication. OR you could do that AND automatically block those nimrods from knocking on your door. In this Guide we will set up Fail2Ban for both SSH and Nextcloud.
