The rules went either into SDCC or SDCC already had similar rules which got generalized for gbz80 by now. 16bitarithmetic.def has to be done in gen.c anyways.

This needs SVN version / snapshot of SDCC

Rules depend on peep hole functions, which aren't implemented in version 4.0.0, and therefore will lead to errors in that version.

Build

$ make combined-peeph.de

Use

Attach the following flag when you call lcc:

-Wf"--peep-file/absolute/path/to/gbz80-ph/combined-peeph.def"

combined-peeph.def is the only optimization file you need, the other ones are source rules or intermediate steps of the make file.

Debug

Use -Wf--fverbose-asm for adding debug comments into generated assembly:

incdec peephole 1 is rule 1 of custom/incdec.def

gbz80 peephole 2b is rule 2b of special-gbz80.def

and so on.

For testing you can remove .def-files from the Makefile or comment out single rules with // and a multiline cursor.

Master

develop branch should only be merged into master if it passes all regression tests of sdcc for gbz80:
