Features

Currently, this package provides the minor modes proj-persp-extras-mode and proj-persp-tracking-mode.

The former mode activates the latter mode, along with an adjusted version of projectile-switch-project-by-name that doesn’t pre-load dir-locals files when called.

The proj-persp-tracking-mode minor mode creates a nearly one-to-one correspondence between projectile projects and persp-mode perspectives. This means that projectile commands will always use the project associated with the current perspective, instead of–for example–the project associated with the current buffer or directory.

More specifically, it wraps the functions projectile-project-name and projectile-project-root and makes them return their perspective-specific values.

Currently, the perspective names must correspond to a full projectile root directory (e.g. obtained using file-name-as-directory and expand-file-name).

Usage

Just enable the minor mode:

(proj-persp-extras-mode +1)

Installation

Use your favorite approach to installing Emacs packages from GitHub.

Here’s an example of one:

(quelpa
'(proj-persp-extras
  :fetcher git
  :url "https://github.com/brandonwillard/proj-persp-extras.git"))

Development

To use as a Cask dependency:

(depends-on "proj-persp-extras"
            :git "https://github.com/brandonwillard/proj-persp-extras.git"
            :branch "master")
