- Initial release
- Bloatynosy Nue replaces the Winpilot and Bloatynosy AI, so we're basically returning to the roots of the classic Bloatynosy app (first version). It's still running under the initial release, as I'm currently working on making older features compatible with 23H2 and 24H2.
However, the application is in a stable state. Those who want to learn more can read further here
You probably remember my classic BloatynosyApp, which had to go through some renaming and eventually got discontinued. Everything that came after, like the web-based "Winpilot," didn't last long either. Honestly, I thought I was done with Bloatynosy-well, at least with the name. But then, during a recent visit to a well-known company, I saw an employee Googling the app and trying to download it, and I had to stifle a laugh. Apparently, the legend lives on. The employee and I had a good laugh about it, and he even called it the epitome of debloating.

Sometimes, I think a little too long about things, and then a useful project just pops out. Bloatynosy was one of those projects. Sure, the name wasn't for everyone, but it was the go-to tool for cleaning up and debloating Windows. Recently, I added an OOBE assistant called "Fresh11" to the FlybyScript—basically, an all-in-one solution and I figured, why not use the same foundation to bring Bloatynosy back to life?I had a hard time committing to it, but in the end, I went for it. Now I can proudly say that after Bloatynosy, there won’t be anything newer or better. This time, it'll be even leaner, more efficient, smaller, and faster. A simple .exe that anyone can understand, doing exactly what bugs us after installing Windows 11. The reborn Bloatynosy carries the "Nue" extension (Bloatynosy Nue), not "New" ;) The last solid, classic version was 0.85, and that's where Im picking up (with a fresh new interface). The build carries a small 11.x version number.
R.I.P. Clippy! Hello xd-AntiSpy...
I never thought I'd let Clippy go, but here we are. As Clippy bows out, we're moving forward with xd-AntiSpy
Despite having a fairly large user base—partly due to the project's origins from "Bloatynosy"—I’ve decided to discontinue the development of the Winpilot app. But don’t worry, there's a replacement: xd-AntiSpy! More on that soon! Winpilot never quite caught on like the old "Bloatynosy" program. This might be due to its webcore and how it was a bit bloated, making it feel like it didn’t get to the point quickly enough. Many users had this first impression because of Winpilot’s appearance and user interface.
About a month ago, I revived a dormant project—xd-AntiSpy. Some of you might remember it as xp-AntiSpy from the good old XP days(my first Windows OS). I decided to get everything right this time around. The UI is old-school, solid, fast, and its expandable core is becoming essential. I spent a lot of time migrating the project from C++ to C# back in the day. In recent weeks, it’s been getting a lot of new features, like a multilingual user interface.
xd-AntiSpy does exactly what Bloatynosy did!
This is the Bloatynosy successor everyone wanted.
Fast, simple, precise, and expandable thanks to plugins. Today, I even expanded the plugin interface and added a plugin for all you Clippy fans—called Butler—which takes on the same management functions as Clippy. Follow the project if you’re interested and try out the latest release, 4.11. Just a heads-up: The app is new, but the big version number is a nod to the original. It stopped at 3.98, and I brought it back at 4.00. See you soon, Belim.

Here’s a little update that’s been on my mind for a while. After dusting off my old xp-AntiSpy fork – xd-AntiSpy – from the archives, I’m considering retiring the Winpilot app. It originally served as a replacement for the Bloatynosy program, based on WebView2, which later reverted back to being a classic desktop app.
xd-AntiSpy is a lightweight tool with a recognizable charm, featuring a simple, multilingual interface and an expandable core through plugins, making it accessible to everyone. I’ve now prepared a preview that enhances xd-AntiSpy with an optimized Decrapify/Debloat engine – something that wasn’t available in the XP-AntiSpy days – bringing back Bloatynosy functionalities.
Head this way for the xd-AntiSpy project: https://github.com/builtbybel/xd-AntiSpy
I'll keep both Winpilot versions available here for now. The classic Winforms/Desktop app is also up for download. Still, I'd recommend switching to xd-AntiSpy. If you liked Bloatynosy, you're going to love xd-AntiSpy.
Winpilot 2024.6.23
If you're in the mood for something nostalgic, then give the new version of XP-AntiSpy, oops I mean XD-AntiSpy a try.
Due to the integration of Microsoft EdgeTweaker settings, all damn fuc AV engines flagged the last release. You gotta understand, it's just policy settings tweaked with a reg key. I've now removed the integration. Apparently, many users couldn't use the app despite whitelisting, which I find hard to believe.
Here for comparison are the VirusTotal reports with the Edge Debloating Tweaks and here without.
Winpilot 2024.6.21
Winpilot has cut ties with WebView2 and is no longer a web app! More details here
- The Setup module now features a full-fledged GUI solution for TheBobPony's MSEdgeTweaker script, available at https://github.com/TheBobPony/MSEdgeTweaker
- Fixed a critical bug in the Setup/CoTweaker module where Clippy automatically set recommended settings with admin rights
- Seamless integration of several modules into the chat window, such as Apps Installer and Plugins (see the preview)
- The Refresh now also updates its recommendations
- Resolved several bugs in AI classes related to Copilot
- Clippy can now theoretically be replaced by other mascots like Copilot. Just place PNG files of your choice into the app/assets folder and configure it in your settings
- Numerous UI refinements

Winpilot 2024.6.19
After I gave Winpilot ("WebApp") a modern look with a classic Win32 desktop app two weeks ago - the project ran in parallel and could optionally be downloaded as Clipilot - the feedback was overwhelming, and a survey to decide whether to go with the WebApp or Win32 is now almost unnecessary.
I received over 130 messages via email alone - that really wasn't necessary, folks, but yes, I agree with you - I should indeed strip the web core from Winpilot.
Given that Microsoft has recently taken the "wrong" direction again by turning its nice (not perfect but good) UWP-era Mail and Calendar app into a PWA, I wasn't particularly thrilled, to put it mildly. Quite the opposite, I will banish this app in the business environment. Apart from the fact that the app is a resource monster - PWAs rely heavily on JavaScript, which is more resource-intensive than native code, especially for complex applications like web clients - this app stores login data for IMAP accounts on Microsoft's servers, and that's simply too much for me!
Well, I don't want to digress. Winpilot is getting rid of the Edge WebView2 foundation and will return to being a classic application. Don't be surprised if "Clipilot" appears in the title bar at startup; this is the start module of the Clippy assistant. All other classic modules are named Winpilot, just like the app itself.
The old Winpilot app, based on the WebView2 core, will become Winpilot Legacy and will continue to be available for download. It may receive occasional updates, as it has currently been downloaded around 2 million times.
Here are some advantages of the new "old" classic Win32 desktop app
- Transitioned the app to a "native" implementation, removing the need for WebView2
- The app operates with minimal resource consumption and loads up to 70% faster
- The app utilizes optimized yet classic Bloatynosy modules. The first two (CoTweaker Setup and Decrapify) have already been completely rewritten
- Improved logging and system monitoring through Clippy; all settings are logged in the Clippy Bubble
- The app no longer requires admin rights and must be manually granted, as Clippy prefers it that way
- The Clippy character/appearance can be customized
- Clippy can also be disabled
- No Copilot support for now, but we may consider integrating Copilot with Clippy as our mascot in the future
Winpilot 2024.6.15
Vote for future direction for Winpilot - Web App or Win32 Desktop App?
- Winpilot is a very smart and beautiful "WebApp" that uses the WebView2 engine of the Edge browser.
- Clipilot is a simple and very fast desktop version of the same application that works out of the box on any plain W10 and W11 system. It has the same features as Winpilot - just packaged differently - and even hosts the classic Bloatynosy modules.
For those who have completely uninstalled Edge, Clipilot is recommended as it does not require the framework.
Warning: Scam Alert
Please be cautious about where you download the app. I've seen several modified versions of Winpilot as well as Bloatynosy, which I wouldn't recommend using. Also, avoid the site bloatynosy.com. It promotes Bloatynosy as the official source, but you'll end up downloading an old version of Winpilot. Unfortunately, I get emails from people who have downloaded from there, asking what’s going on (I haven't examined the binaries yet). It seems forums and Reddit are unfortunately referring to that domain.

Winpilot 2024.6.3
Changelog
- Winpilot has been tested on various Dev and Release preview builds and fine-tuned in detail. Support for 24H2 is officially available as of today.
Winpilot should no longer (although never say never) be classified as a "potentially unwanted app" by Microsoft Defender or Microsoft Defender SmartScreen. It's like I can feel that the app is now welcome at Microsoft and no longer gets flagged 🙄 🤫
The app is completely legitimate and does not use any aggressive mechanisms to "break things". Instead, it simply toggles registry switches and uses PowerShell to uninstall apps (just like you do when uninstalling apps from the Start menu). This excludes external scripts like the currently experimental tiny11builder.

bloatynosy.com is a fake site—don't download anything from there! The app is now Winpilot. Only download legit versions from my GitHub. Bloatynosy Classic is also available exclusively on GitHub.
Changelog
- Clippy's Interactions Split: I separated Clippy’s speech bubble from the assisted actions. Lots of users found the big bubble with buttons annoying, as it covered parts of the UI. Now, Clippy is less of a bother #215 #174
- Top-Bar Recommendations: Recommendations are now shown at the top, like what Microsoft’s doing with the Settings app and Copilot
- Updated "assisted" Debloat Signatures for better performance
- Light/Dark Mode Toggle Moved: Now you can switch modes in the Settings/Three-dot menu
- Better Error Handling: Improved exception handling for those annoying startup errors when the UI frontend doesn’t load, often because the Evergreen Bootstrapper for WebView2 is missing
