This release introduces a new experimental option "Fast seeking".
This is a beta release, if you don't care about testing the Fast seeking functionality, consider using the more stable previous version.

The new "Fast seeking" option enables instant seeking backwards and (if you don't click too soon) faster/instant seeking forwards.
It works by pre-rendering the tune in the background when enabled.

Notes & caveats:

• You can find this option in two places:
  • In the Repeat Mode button's context menu (for easy access).
  • In the Preferences (along with more info).
• Since this is an experimental option, you have to re-enable it manually on each application start, it won't remember it was enabled before.
• Some realtime features (e.g., toggling the SID voices) won't be available during playback in the "Fast seeking" mode.
• Please keep your global volume level down in case of any unexpected loud audio glitches.
