As a member of the Access and Collection Services department at the Caltech Library, the Access and eResources Library Intern will provide practical, hands-on support in electronic resource management. This individual will work primarily with the Access and eResources Librarian and members of the eResources Task Force (ETF) to maintain the Caltech Library’s access to electronic resources, including e-journals, ebooks, databases, and other digital materials. This position is part of the Elsevier Library Fellowship Internship Program (ELF), and the goal of this program is to support the development of library personnel at the beginning career level in research organizations and advancing the future of the library. As such, the intern will meet virtually with other ELF program participants and with an assigned mentor on a monthly basis, and in-person at a paid-for library conference during the program. This individual will work an average of ten hours per week for the 2023-2024 academic year and is open to a fully remote or hybrid work schedule depending on the individual’s needs and preferences.
