Hey @azzamsa thank you for the detailed reporting, the issue is due lla checks for the available terminal width then decides how many columns to include in the grid depending on the length of the files and whether it will fit in the remaining space, I propose we add configuration option to explicitly use a fixed grid columns and in future releases we will have a truncate the long file names in all formats to go with that option (truncating is available at the moment only on the fuzzy format)

Yes, I do expect this behavior. But I wanted something like lla --grid --force or lla --grid --ignore-width to force lla to use grid view regardless of terminal width.

Yes. We can be very opinionated, Giving no options. Or we can give the user the option to change the truncation limit and style (dot, comma, or anything).

Btw, that colorscheme are you using, the blue is similar to Catppuccin/Tokyonight, but the red is not.

@azzamsa Thank you for the suggestion I create an issue for it expect it to be included in the upcoming releases for sure, and I agree with giving the users more control and with the help of the community we can shape lla to something great for sure, so thanks again.

The lla theme I'm using is poimandres it's included with the lla first party themes.
