Binary package
Binary packages can be set as runtime or build time dependencies. See Defining your dependencies for more information.
To add core/go as a dependency, you can add one of the following to your plan file.
pkg_build_deps=(core/go)
pkg_deps=(core/go)
To install this plan, you should run the following commands to first install, and then link the binaries this plan creates.
hab pkg install core/go --binlink
will add the following binaries to the PATH:
- /bin/go
- /bin/gofmty
For example:
$ hab pkg install core/go --binlink
» Installing core/go

You can now use the binary as normal. For example:
/bin/go --help
or go --help
$ go --help

build compile packages and dependencies
clean remove object files and cached files
doc show documentation for package or symbol
env print Go environment information
fix update packages to use new APIs
fmt gofmt (reformat) package sources
