In some restricted environments, it is not possible to reach out to the external internet for anything.

In the current version of Chocolatey GUI, attempts are made to download and cached the icon for all packages, and to display them when using Tile View in the application. These requests ultimately fail.

By enabling this feature, it should be possible to prevent these requests from being made, and instead, a default icon always be used for all packages.
