I'm getting the same error message for for both SVT1 and SVT2 at svtplay.se/kanaler
{ "error": "Unable to parse JSON: No JSON object could be decoded (u'<!DOCTYPE html>\\n<!--[if (lte IE ...)" }

I have the most recent version of livestreamer.

Must have been some temporary issue from SVT's part it works now.

None of the svtplay live streams are supported any longer since they have change their structure permanently. Source
