Apologize for my bad English. #23
Comments
also you sould add "human trafficking" to the "should be censored" list. It is a real problem in China and other countries as well. |
Hi Kepler, No need to apologize for your English,
Sure, there is no right or wrong in the world. There is only I like and I dislike.
You made me realize that that section was useless and I removed it with the following rationale: bb6a8a7 |
Interesting, most (Western) media said it got worse under Xi, but I cannot tell. I hope you are right! |
I'm not saying what you do here takes no effects. It's just that people are stubborn, and easy to forget. As you can see there are a few who disagree with you, they use filthy language against you. That's what happens when you tell people how things are not what they were told in a long time. It is always easier to deny than to figure out by themselves. |
Here is another thing about censorship, thought you might be interested: It is official. During Strawberry Music Festival - one of the largest music festival in China, celebrities on stage are not allowed to show their tattoos. They will have to cover them up. Or else I'm guessing they and their work might be censored. |
Thanks, I had seen some tattoo news earlier this year, but didn't add them. The funny pics on that link are very good. |
Maybe your action here can cause github blocked by gfw, but seriously, it just doesnt work that way in China. Brainwash has going on for too long. I dont think any action will lead to suddent change.
From what I realized is, quite a lot of people in China just dont care. They dont care if google is blocked, they dont care if there's public surveillance. They can even not to give a sht about their phone app asking too much security permisssion, since it would be much more convenient that way.
Just as the founder & CEO of Baidu said:
“中国人更加开放,对隐私问题没有那么敏感。”
"People in China are more open than those in other countries, when concerning the matter of privacy."
Link below, since you can read Chinese:

It is a really interesting fact that people actually would hand over their privacy for little more convenience. Sadly, changing this will take time.
Also, I very much hate censorship. But I can also tell that it is a certain action made at certain circumstance. Is it terrible? Yes. But you cannot simply say it is wrong, it is more complicate than a matter of right and wrong. Will this situation be changed? I believe so, but it will take tons of time since the way Chinese people do things.
Thing is, now it is a lot better then couple years ago. We were not able to use google translate back then. Just give it time, trust me it will be better.
