Here is the description how to install and use the Chef Compliance demo.

When the environment is up and running, login is possible using "vagrant" as user and "vagrant" as password.

When you´re logged in you can start the Firefox Browser and enter the IP (192.168.100.20) of the Chef Compliance Server as URL. After accepting the EULA you are now able to set a user account.

Now you can login with you new username and password.

As the first step you have to add the nodes you want to check (192.168.100.30). Please name your environment like you want ("Test" for example) and ensure that the username is "vagrant" and the password is "vagrant" for both machines.

After adding the first node you can check the Connectivity using the button on the top of the page.

Please do the same with the windows node using WinRM (192.168.100.40).

Now feel free to check your compliance.

Let´s see the results of an immediate scan.

When you want to import a new profile you can find them under /profiles. Please click Compliance on the left and "Add Profile" on the top right.

Now you have a new Chef Compliance Profile available.
