B. Definition and Planning

Initial project topic shifted as we found little usable data for evaluating the microbiome. We didn't let this bring us down but re-energized our thoughts towards telling a story about the intersection of Mom/Infant healthcare / infant mortality. Specifically, how can we use machine learning to improve upon, improve the understanding of or create predictors for improving infant mortality in Ohio. We created some beginning documents to how we would accomplish our specific goals for the project.

• In addition to draft planning documents, we created a one page summary of our project and our goals. A link to that document is here. We also have an overall project planning / control document for shared use by the team.

We continued planning, drafting up new visuals and updating the web site for the next week.
