Hey @martinpitt sorry for the lack of comms, I thought someone responded to this one already. I'll make sure we are better at communicating in future

We've been looking into this when we've had time to and we've got a report submitted to the virtualization team from our side (https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1230228)

I'll keep you updated and hopefully we can have this resolved soon

Oh, just a heads up, I stumbled into this issue again, and it seems that virt-install is marking all disks as raw, even if you set format against the disk --disk /tmp/alpine.qcow2,format=qcow2, this is /likely/ be what's breaking the tests on tumbleweed. Just in case it makes it into any other distro's

This issue seems to cover it quite well: virt-manager/virt-manager#703
