BibleSync Chat

Integrate forthcoming BibleSync enhancement.

  • Provide window in which chat appears, IRC-style.
  • Enhancement provides only a single, public sort of communication.
  • Handle new Receive() message type.
  • Simple append of new username+text into window.
  • Bold username + plain text.
  • No markup support at all.
  • Transmit() for new outgoing message.

This should be very straightforward, requiring almost no internal knowledge of new BibleSync habits.

Update 2018-04-29: BSP v2 includes chat, basic integration to use it is complete as of 4.1.1, but deliberately primitive for the moment: Uses simple discrete dialogs rather than an IRCish window. Need feedback on whether this is useful and whether it needs better support (like an IRCish window). "No markup support" is right, including can't boldface the name, ohwell.
