Installation

Compatibility

  • iPhone

Requires iOS 14.0 or later.

  • iPad

Requires iPadOS 14.0 or later.

  • iPod touch

Requires iOS 14.0 or later.

  • Mac

Requires macOS 11 or later and a Mac with Apple M1 chip.

Step by step tutorial

Add a bill

  1. When you first time open the app, you will see something like below:

This is the Home Screen of the app, indicating there is no bills in the collection.

  1. Then hit add bill, a view would pop up for bill information input. The data needs to be collected (* for required entries):
  • *Bill Creditor > The dot representing the person who paid for the bill, long press to select
  • *Bill participants > Dots (people) who are involved with this bill
  • Bill Title (optional) > For later bill information display
  • Bill date (optional) > It is set to the time of creation by default.
  • Tax Rate (optional) > The general tax rate for the entire bill. (note: tax can be selectively applied on different entries of the bill, but only one tax rate can be set for one bill)
  • Paid (optional) > A bill is considered as "paid" if all balances related to this bill are cleared. If you still need this bill to be counted in balance calculation, do not toggle on!
  1. Hit done to finish adding the bill. A bill card view should be displayed on the home screen.

You can see the amount of this bill is 0, that's because we have not yet added any items to this bill.

If you wish to edit or remove the bill, swipe left!

Add entries

  1. Tap on a card to see the detail information of the bill, which includes all items/entries shown as a list.

Now there is no entry of course

  1. Tap on "add entry" to add an entry, the information below are required (* for required entries):
  • Entry Title (optional) > You can name this entry if you wish.
  • *Participants > You must select at least one dot (person) that is involved with this entry. (Someone has to buy it, right?)
  • *Price > You need to provide the amount of money spent on this entry (Before tax).
  • Quantity (optional) > The quantity of this entry. (In case your price is a single price of the item) This value is set to 1 by default.
  • Tax (optional) > Toggle this switch to include tax to this entry.
  1. Once your are done, the entries should be displayed with essential information on top embedded in the entry list.

Again, you can tap on an entry to edit or swipe left to delete

  1. After adding all entries, feel free to tap on the cross on the top right corner, or swipe down like this:

Calculate balance

When you have one or more unpaid bills in your collection, you can tap on calculate button to see the payment list:

You can choose to mark all bills as paid once you are done with the balance.
