Note: This does not work for Mavericks (10.8) up

CmdGroupToFolder

Instructions

Download the service.
Open the file.
In the dialog that pops up, click "Install".
Dismiss the next dialog by clicking "Done".
Open System Preferences to the Keyboard Shortcuts
Give it a shortcut of ⌘G (to be all Photoshop/Illustrator-like).
