For objects that have Dandi Archive metadata (i.e., Dandiset versions, blob assets, and Zarr assets), links to these objects in the web view should be accompanied by links for viewing this metadata.

  • Possible things the metadata links could point to:
    • The metadata endpoints in the Archive API
      • Accessing such an endpoint in a web browser seems to result in an HTML display of the data being returned
      • Would not work when dealing with embargoed Dandisets
    • An endpoint provided by dandidav that serves the metadata as application/json
      • This endpoint could just be the path to the object on dandidav but with a metadata=1 query parameter
        • What should happen when a ?metadata=1 query is made to a path that doesn't have metadata?
