POPs

POPs is short for Pico* Overclock Protocols.

They're written with the purpose to document and implement:

Protocols transfer blocks status: generally acceptable

Relays/Vaults/Silos store blocks status: no consensus

Bootloaders/Runtimes/Jails run blocks status: mixed reviews

- There are multiple parallel efforts all building the same thing.
It's a cross-team effort, not a race.
