Redis Management Tool

Overview

This Bash script is a comprehensive tool for managing Redis installations and configurations on Linux and macOS systems. It provides an interactive interface for checking if Redis is installed, installing Redis either from the internet or a local tarball, configuring Redis instances, setting up Redis clusters, managing instances, and performing backup and restore operations.

Features

  • Redis Installation: Automatically checks if Redis is installed and offers options to install it from the internet or a local tarball.
  • Instance Configuration: Configure Redis instances with options for clustering, memory limits, persistence methods, and security settings.
  • Cluster Configuration: Set up or modify Redis clusters with an easy-to-follow process.
  • Instance Management: Start, stop, and restart Redis instances, view their status, and read their configuration files.
  • Backup and Restore: Create backups of Redis data and restore data from those backups with ease.

Prerequisites

  • Operating System: The script supports Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL) and macOS.
  • Bash: The script is written in Bash and requires a Bash-compatible shell.
  • Curl: The script uses curl to check internet connectivity (for installations from the internet).
  • Homebrew: On macOS, Homebrew is required for installing Redis.
