fixes for layout and saving. This makes sure the layout is loaded first before trying to load other data. This is a bugfix.

-> The Style/Layout will now be loaded first. This makes sure the other subsystems can actually load their content. Some additions have been made to fix wrong expectations made by some subsystems.
makes sure the correct defaults are used by the DefaultLayout
removes a lot of trailing whitespace
