With the old emu2413 v0.7x (or earlier), the sample rate conversion quality was very low and it was the biggest reason why hi-hat and cymbal sounds often being corrupted.

From v1.0.0, emu2413 employs a brand-new, blackman windowed-sinc sample rate converter. The following first chart shows FFT of pure sine wave on emu2413's internal 49KHz output. The succeeding two charts compare how aliasing-noise is reduced between versions.
