- Lowercase Roman numerals represent minor chords.
- White letters represent tonics.
- Red letters represent dominants.

- Tonics have a resolution effect.
- Subdominants have an effect of moving away from a tonic.
- Dominants have a tense effect, moving towards a tonic to resolve.
