Welcome to the Hayward Omnilogic integration for Home Assistant.

Install and usage instructions are provided on the main page of this repo (https://github.com/djtimca/haomnilogic).

Tips for Best Usage

Sensors

We provide a few dashboard widgets and blocks which might be useful to you for some of your general sensors on our Sensors page.

Variable Speed Pumps

Unfortunately Home Assistant doesn't have a "pump" entity with variable speed capabilities, so we have leveraged the "switch" entity for all pumps and added a custom service which will allow you to control your variable speed pumps.

I've added my recommended additional configurations on the Variable Speed Pumps page.

Water Heaters

Overall the Home Assistant water heater entity works well, but the Dashboard controls aren't awesome out of the box. I've provided my setup for a great control card and also a way to track the history/usage of your water heater over time on the Water Heaters page.

Lights

The light controls in Omnilogic are generally pretty simple as they only have on/off and effect selection for ColorLogic V1 lights. I provide my use on the Lights page. I don't have V2 lights to show a way to control the brightness or speed in a dashboard but am open to anyone who can use the custom service to create a neat dashboard implementation to share!

Valves/Relays

Valves and relays will appear as switches in Home Assistant and they should generally have simple on/off controls to manage. I don't have any additional features (waterfall, spa, etc) to set up anything cool in the dashboard for this purpose, but I welcome anyone to share their take!

Additional Automations or Features

Would love to see/hear how anyone else is using the integration to control components of their pool. Please feel free to share your ideas in the Home Assistant forums and tag me @djtimca
