Putting an issue just in case.

Slang is a shader language developed by nvidia which is backwards compatible with hlsl--it can generate hlsl code. The advantage of it, as it claims, is better more modular code base with generics and interfaces, and static reflection which could potentially enable ReShade-like shader-only features for pre/postprocessing without us writing our own compiler/parser.
