- Makes the AMBE3000R™ chip available via the network using UDP frames (capable of vocoding audio for D-Star, DMR, and P.25 Phase 2 HR)
- from: https://physics.princeton.edu/pulsar/k1jt/wsjtx.html
- Implements communication protocols or "modes" called FT4, FT8, JT4, JT9, JT65, QRA64, ISCAT, MSK144, and WSPR.
- Also protocol "Echo" for detecting and measuring your own radio signals reflected from the Moon.
- These modes were all designed for making reliable, confirmed QSOs under extreme weak-signal conditions.
- from: https://github.com/dslotter/ham_radio_scripts
- Update WSJT-X using Debian package from Internet.
- Update WSJT-X using source code from Internet (when updating from deb does not work.)
- from: http://www.whence.com/minimodem/
- command-line program which decodes (or generates) audio modem tones at any specified baud rate,
- Uses various framing protocols.
- Acts as a general-purpose software FSK modem
- Includes support for various standard FSK protocols (Bell103, Bell202, RTTY, TTY/TDD, NOAA SAME, and Caller-ID)
- from: https://tagloomis.com/grid-tracker/
- GridTracker is a companion program for WSJT-X.
- It listens to WSJT-X or JTDX and decodes and displays on a map.
- Can display on a large second monitor so everyone gets excited when they can see what you’re doing!
- Features:
- Real-time Traffic Decoding to world map,
- Audio / Visual / Text-to-Speech Alerts on Callsign, DXCC, CQ Designator, Grid and more,
- ADIF log parsing,
- Contest Map Overlays (ITU, CQ, WAS, WAC, USC, DXCC),
- Callable Roster for hunting wanted criteria , initiate QSOs.
- QSO log reporting / uploading,
- Band and Mode filtering,
- Complete DXCC, Country, Callsign Prefix recognition
- Band activity from PSK-Reporter, PSK-Reporter spots
- Maidenhead 4 and 6 wide views, 22 Map styles.
- from: http://www.jtdx.tech/en/
- Multimode support:
- JT65, JT9, T10, FT8, FT4, WSPR
- from: http://js8call.com/
- JS8Call uses the JS8 Digital Mode providing weak signal keyboard to keyboard messaging.
- The idea is to take the robustness of FT8 mode and layer on a messaging and network protocol for weak signal communication on HF with a keyboard-to-keyboard interface.
- JS8Call is heavily inspired by WSJT-X, Fldigi, and FSQCall .
- JS8Call is an experiment to test the feasibility of this approach.
- from: http://m0iax.com/2019/05/27/js8calltools-for-raspberry-pi/, https://github.com/m0iax/js8calltools
- GPS Utility for JS8Call. A python script with a GUI to get location from GPSD running on a Raspberry Pi.
- Then translate the Lat and Long to a Maidenhead Grid and send it to JS8Call updating its Grid for use in messages.
- Can do this at the click of a button, or use the timer to update the grid every 10 minutes.
- Also includes a button sending the GRID command to @ALLCALL using JS8Call which will be received by stations in the JS8Call network and reported to the APRS network.
- from: https://github.com/gnss-sdr/gnss-sdr
- An SDR able to perform detection, synchronization, demodulation and decoding of the navigation message, and position fixes of
- 9 Global Navigation Satellite System's satellites in the L1,L2, and L5 bands.
- Provides interfaces for a wide range of radio frequency front-ends and raw sample file formats.
- Generates processing outputs in standard formats, allows for the full inspection of the whole signal processing chain.
- Offers a framework for the development of new features.
- Visit https://gnss-sdr.org for more information about this open source software-defined GNSS receiver.
- from: http://linpsk.sourceforge.net/
- Supports BPSK, QPSK, PSK31, and RTTY on as many receive channels as you wish.
- Instructions:
- Tune your receiver to 14.070.15 mHz, Upper Sideband. If the 20-meter band is open, you should hear a variety of warbling tones from the radio speaker, each one representing a ham using PSK31. Adjust the volume so the Waterfall shows a dark blue background with white or yellow lines streaking down it. Click on one of these lines. In a moment, the ham's message should appear in the Rx window as he types. If not, click on the Squelch bar and lower it until the signal breaks through the squelch. Noise will show up as random letters on the Rx display.
- With receive working, click on TX. A clean-sounding warbling tone should come from the speakers. If the tone is raspy, the OutputLevel is too high. Type some words in the window to the right of the TX/RX button. The warbling sound should vary as your typed words appear in the Rx window above. Click on the TX/RX button to return to receive mode.
- from: http://linpac.sourceforge.net/overview.php
- Text-mode (console or terminal window) user interface, driven by commands.
- Basic set of applications which are commonly used and are expected in every packet radio terminal.
- Eight channels for simultaneous connections.
- Completely reconfigurable reactions to incomming connections.
- Station database that allows specifying a set of features for each callsign.
- Automatic logbook
- File transfer protocols: autobin, yapp.

- from: http://wa0eir.bcts.info/psk31lx.html
- Psk31lx uses ncurses instead of a graphical interface.
- So you can run it in a terminal window.
- Has a spectrum display that makes tuning much easier. (original program only had a phase scope).
- from: https://github.com/nostar/DroidStar
- connects to M17, Fusion (YSF/FCS, DN and VW modes are supported), DMR, P25, NXDN, D-STAR (REF/XRF/DCS) reflectors
