Using the latest v0.11.0 release, is there a reason why I mt32-pi would only see the first 8 out of 35 .sf2s (0-7) I have in the soundfonts folder? Should it support 256? Anyone else encountered this? Also I noted that the ftp does not support the "rename" command according to filezilla and file explore ftp clients. In the wiki (https://github.com/dwhinham/mt32-pi/wiki/Embedded-FTP-server) it states that the command should be support ("Storing/retrieving files, renaming, deleting, and directory creation/deletion is supported.") |

Are you using a MiSTer and its OSD to switch SoundFonts? If so, the MiSTer OSD menu is limited to 0-7, it's just a hard coded range in the framework. You should be able to access the rest using button controls on the Pi, or SysEx tools like mt32-pi-control. If they don't appear when using the buttons to select, then the SoundFonts are probably corrupt and mt32-pi has rejected them. This can happen if you copied them via FTP in ASCII mode instead of binary mode (hence the warning on the FTP wiki page). As for FTP renaming, looks like I mis-remembered whether I implemented that command or not when writing the wiki page. I will fix the wiki page and implement the rename command for the next version. |

Yes - I am using the MiSTer directly connected to a Pi Zero 2 Guess this is my problem - as I have no buttons to switch on my build - so the MiSTer framework is limited to 8 - too bad. I guess Sorgelig will take care of it at some point should he ever get interested in the MT32-Pi :) Anyhow - thanks for creating this great thing! |

also you are right - 8 is plenty - but I am keen on trying things out... a lot ;) |

Ok - I gave mt32-pi-control shot - works perfectly under MS-DOS :) - Of course you cannot do it on the fly and have to exit what you are doing. But it is a good workaround for the above mentioned issue of mine. Thank you again for suggesting it. |
