You can get the stats graph by clicking the edit icon for the histogram and changing the mode to mean, min or max and specify a field. This does not use the 500 results in the table set, but rather uses elasticsearch to compute the graph |

I am having trouble understanding what the difference between the three modes. Aren't they all graphing the same data? Also, is there a place to look up the documentation for the different panels. I had written a personal wiki for it, but it has quickly become outdated. |

In kibana 2 there was a fields stats button when you clicked on a field to show totals of field values. is there an equivalent in Kibana 3 as this button is not there. Also how can stats, graphs be produced for the full dataset rather than the set(default 500) i would rather not use a huge set to generate stats.
