Kibana hover over cuts off text #9233

No, mine doesn't depend on the location of the pop up box, it occurs no
matter where on the page the pop up box occurs. I was trying to emphasize
the right side of each screen shot, the left i cut off myself.

Hi, This is still a concern and I am really not understanding why it is happening. The hoverover pop-up seems to restrict its width and is always consistent. That is understandable but it isn't wrapping the text to the new line. This happens when I hover over on all parts of the page, so it has nothing to do with the location of the pop-up. On the left handed image, you can see that the text goes into the void to the right but it doesn't wrap over the text to the next line, therefore making it impossible to see what is written there. Please anyone can help? |
+1 I'm also facing this (specifically on a vertical bar chart) as a lot of the data we plot has long names which get cut off, making certain graphs almost useless because we can't tell the datapoints apart. I see this behavior on all the browsers I've tried (Chrome, Firefox, IE and Edge). I'm using Kibana 5.2.2. |
Duplicate of #31846 (closing this, because the other one has a statement about someone working on it in the thread). |
Kibana version: 5.0
Elasticsearch version:5.0
Server OS version: CentOS7
Browser version: Chrome, Firefox (Fresh dl)
Original install method: Yum
Description of the problem including expected versus actual behavior:
The hover over on a bar chart visualization for a large text field cuts off text. In IE, all the text was shown, but FF and Chrome, the text gets cut off and doesn't wrap. This didn't occur for the pie chart, but for the bar chart and area chart, the text did get cut.
This happens with a bar chart visualization with split bars and split chart where the split bars is a field that is several lines of text.
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
