This pull request adds support for the transceiver hardware which I just pushed to my PCB_Designs repo. Default is XCVR disabled.

Transceiver-based hardware should be more compatible with SCSI-2 controllers that don't conform to the SCSI-1 voltage levels standard.

There's a lot of room to improve here, in terms of setting transceiver state and such. But it's a start.

Since this is new hardware, disable it by default
Tested to boot beige G3 and Q700, both with XCVR mode on and off on appropriate hardware
