Canyon is code complete in the optimism monorepo at commit 6cce3728b7bed5e36234aeba3b773e0f97867be3 and op-geth at commit ed8e9f54ed0a5069e77ea34895ff12a9ac4ca17f

Is there a relevant tag for this in the optimism monorepo?

Should we use this commit for launching our own OP Stack?

Hey @Chomtana, even though its marked as code complete, we should still use the latest release for the software. These versions go through the most testing. You can see on the release page there are tags along with the commit hash:

• op-node: https://github.com/ethereum-optimism/optimism/releases/tag/op-node%2Fv1.3.0
• op-geth: https://github.com/ethereum-optimism/op-geth/releases/tag/v1.101304.0

You know I'm not sure, probably for accuracy. The proposal probably should have also included the software releases, but I think the governance folks are generally not technical so those details aren't as important. cc @trianglesphere maybe you have more insight on this

That commit is the first commit which will work with Canyon. We announce it to specify the version of the software which all future versions must be compatible with. As @sbvegan we recommend running the latest tagged version.
