Elvi shows 0.0 kW while charging with 11 kW #14138

Describe the bugHi, like the title says, whenever I'm charging my car it does not show the power used and therefor doesn't show any historical charging sessions either. (The car is charging at 11 kW on those screenshots).

Seems charger is starting by itself:
After that the disable timer starts:
But according to config it will take 15m to do anything. I think we're not reducing the current within these 15min since we kinda assume that disabling the loadpoint will sooner or later fix the problem. |

You should shorten the disable timer. 15m is very long. As for why it's starting all by itself needs be answered by Elvi. I can only suggest to contact Elvi support or search if other Elvi users may have found/solved this issue with the box. |

Thanks for the suggestion, but I already did this as you can see in the full config I posted in the OP, I disabled automatic charging and set up a RFID Card which is also configured for the charger: chargers:

If the wallbox has no meter, how should evcc know about the currents? You then have to put an external meter, like a Shelly 3EM or similar. |

The documentation says:
So basically if the wall box has no internal meter, you can configure an external meter (like you suggested) or "[EVCC will] assume that the charging power set is actually being used.". Or is my understanding wrong and EVCC won't be able to figure out the charging power without any meter? |

I guess this assumption is only relevant for the calculations. The bars in the user interface probably only.display metered values. |

Looks like a useful log :) Unfortunately crappy, too: Notice the timestamps? Unless you're in the Philippines or somewhere they are just wrong. You should open a ticket with Elvi to get that fixed. @premultiply I'm lost as to how we want to fix the crap timestamp problem while still sorting by timestamp. A warning alone won't help. One (half) solution would be to use |

I'm not sure how I can provide the merged Log for site, loadpoint and ocpp without chosing "All areas" which implies "db" "http" and my car too. |

Major difference is, that there is no enable: / disable: and mode: , phases:, mincurrent:, maxcurrent: belongs to the loadpoint instead of the vehicle. I understand that your configuration is more flexible if you have different cars, but it may be worth a try that way. But in general it works without a meter - as far as I understand evcc shows the power value which has been sent to the wallbox and calculates the energy by the power and the time of charging. Using EVCC Version v0.126.4 . Since the installation (EVBox without meter) is at my daughters house, I'm unfortunately not able to identify the firmware version of the EVBox at the moment. EVCC itself can be accessed via VPN (Wireguard). At my home I'm using EVBox (with meter) firmware version P0424B0424v0.220706 and EVCC Version v0.130.6. |

0.129.0 didn't work for me in regard to showing the power used and therefor didn't show any historical charging sessions either that's why I can't wait for the fix to be merged ;-) |

From what I understood, Elvi claims meter values even if no meter installed? Please try that should make evcc not find any meter value. If that doesn't work another log would be helpful. |

Ah, danke. Das Überschreiben funktioniert noch nicht weil das Setting in der Box Readonly ist. Dafür brauchen wir noch einen kleinen Workaround damit evcc so tut als wäre es aktualisiert. Das wird #15925, dann können wir es nochmal probieren. |

Ist nicht read-only: aber "blafoowusel" kein gültiger Measurand und wird daher hier abgelehnt. Es dürfen nur gültige Measurands verwenden werden, ggf. auch ein Leerstring. Für die Elvi ohne Zähler wäre das hier sinnvollerweise |

Auch bei mir funktioniert die Ladeanzeige wieder. Ich habe direkt die Version 0.130.8 verwendet. Bei mir läuft es auch ohne den Autostart der Elvi mit folgender Konfiguration.
