This helps with specific situations in #1448. It provides more information if the HTTP module runs and returns an error. However, it does not help with some of the cases mentioned in #1448 where it picked up an out of date Spin binary; I think @rajatjindal is tackling that.
Also please note this does NOT tackle the "make-kv fails locally" bit, only the "hard to understand why" bit. grin
