Bluetooth: Error discovering devices

I'm a Solar assistant newbie, and on top of it I'm running it on MacOS VMWare / Linux with a few USB Bluetooth adapters, but I think that part is working. I installed MQTT and Batmon, but getting this error right on startup:

I tried that. In the meantime, I uninstalled Batmon, reinstalled, rebooted VMWare Solar Assistant, and I'm getting closer, BT discovery works and provides a pretty big list of devices including the BMSs. However I'm getting an exception now and it seems the BMS I've added using the Batmon discovery try address isn't successful either
