Inform 10.1.2

Inform 10.1.1 was released only 10 days ago, but sandboxing issues on Linux meant that we were unable to publish a working app for Linux without minor modifications to the build manager inside Inform. So the main point of v10.1.2 is that it includes those modifications, but it also includes ten miscellaneous bug fixes.

Inform's build dependencies are Inweb, which at the time of this release was in version 7.2.0, and Intest, currently 2.1.0. Any versions compatible with these in the semver sense should be fine to build this release of Inform, and other versions may well also work.

Inform 10.1.1

This is the first formal release of the open-source incarnation of Inform. Betas have been available here at GitHub since April 2022, but only available in the Inform apps in preview builds with limited circulation. That preview period is now over, and the source code for the core tools in this release will be used for apps (on MacOS, Windows, and Linux) intended for general use.

Strictly speaking, it is the second release, because Inform 10.1.0 was fleetingly released yesterday. However, this had a build error causing the wrong documentation cross-references file to be embedded in apps when running "make forceintegration". (Command-line users would not be affected, since they would never use this part of the makefile.) 10.1.1 fixes that, and makes two other trivial changes: it fixes some outdated URLs found by Zed Lopez in the documentation, and it removes the now out-of-date display of the "build code" (6XNN) from HTML reports. Otherwise the Inform compiler 10.1.1 is functionally identical to 10.1.0 and they share the same release note.

This release turned out to be difficult to compile into the Linux app for sandboxing reasons, so a binary of the Linux app is not available for v10.1.1. See v10.1.2 instead.

Update: A minor build error caused this release to be replaced by v10.1.1 a few hours later. The two are functionally almost identical, but 10.1.1 should be used in preference, and no binaries of 10.1.0 will be made available.
