The bounty detail page could need some TLC on it. Design another bounty detail page that is

  1. more aesthetically pleasing
  2. lets me (as a user) know at a glance what i need to know about a bounty, but also lets me look for more detailed info about the bounty if i want it
  3. more promoinent call to action buttons
  4. bounties have 3 steps: active, claimed, and paid. (also, arguably, expired). what does it look like on each of these steps?

please ask any relevant clarifying questions before you claim this issue!

@owocki Are you looking for static mocks or for the design to be implemented as well?

just mocks (although once this design bounty is accepted, ill likely post another one asking to get it coded)

Are you looking for more pitches @owocki?

yes @taurean -- i like what @kvndlgs did but i dont think its what i'll go with for the live site.

i'm looking for more of a 'first principle' redesign of the page with "what does a person want to see / learn about when they hear about a bounty?" as a starting point, instead of the current bounty detail page as a starting point.

also, the posted bounty of 0.04 is probably too low given the new scope, happy to agree upon some amount upfront that's worth your rate if you'd like.

here is a data point: for user profiles, this is the latest design proposed: http://bits.owocki.com/3p321Y2e3J2p/Screen%20Shot%202017-10-06%20at%2011.01.54%20AM.png

whatever is turned around should be at least this hgih fidelity i think.

understandable. I can take a crack at it, the bounty is fine for what this is, I imagine in the future you might want to refresh or revise the whole site in one shot anyway. Is it alright with you if I introduce another typeface in addition to Futura for legibility? Maybe Roboto or Open Sans.

defer to your judgement, you're the designer :)

Let me know if you have any issues accessing layers and whatnot.

@taurean thanks. do you have metamask and some ETH? are you able to submit the existing bounty at https://gitcoin.co/funding/details?url=https://github.com/gitcoinco/web/issues/17 ?

@owocki I had some issues setting up metamask, (the checkout to buy an initial order of ETH to establish an account wasn't working). Can I give a different ETH address?

this reminds me, i need to put together a solid education section to onboard users who are used to web3 into the web3 ecosystem (what is metamask, why do i need it, why do i need eth? why does transacting cost gas, etc)

let me just accept the bounty myself and send you a tip for the work. the tip flow allows you to put in a new ETH address (and also lets the sender pay the gas costs for the entire flow)
