• Github issues
  • When should an issue be closed? On merge of patch on master or after backports [jdarcy]
    • Close when release is made with a note on the release. [ndevos]
  • Should support questions be answered on GH issues? [JoeJulian]
    • Wrong place for support, but good for FAQ fodder [jdarcy]
    • Leaves a lot of cruft, not properly answered but shows up in google [JoeJulian]
    • Get as much information from the issue before redirecting to bugzilla or some other place [amye]
    • Mailing lists/IRC show up in google, but bugzilla doesn't
    • Add these to the FAQ section in the new documentation structure
  • Not enough issues populated by maintainers
    • Take up in maintainers meeting
    • ask Amar to better populate this topic by the next meeting
• Coverity progress
  • Reduced from 860+ to 800 in last one month.
  • https://review.gluster.org/#/q/status:open+project:glusterfs+branch:master+topic:bug-789278 can be used to track coverity patches.
  • nice if the people giving -1 on some of these would propose their own alternatives.

  • Once we get it into Fedora, it can get into Storage-SIG
    • Why?
    • Mainly for the review of the .spec file
• Openstack Cinder glusterfs support has been removed
  • GlusterFS support was removed from Openstack Ocata
  • How can we get it back in?

• nigelb will document kkeithley's build process for glusterfs packages
• nigelb will implement the backports whine job after feedback is obtained
• nigelb will start abandoning old patches in gerrit

  • We will still retain features that slipped 3.10 and hence were moved to 3.11
