Godot version

4.0.beta2

System information

Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS x86_64, Cinnamon 5.2.7, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, Vulkan

Issue description

Due to another, already reported issue (#56340) does Godot open on the wrong monitor for me. so I have to drag it back to my main one every time I open the editor.

When using Single Window Mode however does this break many menu elements that it tries to open. Menu bar menus appear somewhere in the middle of the screen while tool-tips go somewhere to the right, both usually far removed from the relevant location.

It can also happen that sub windows (like Editor Preferences) open off-screen making you unable to interact with the editor (including closing Godot). Although I couldn't reproduce this when trying to record the issue.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Have two or more monitors connected (in my case both are connected to the same GPU).
  2. Have Single Window Mode under Editor Preferences enable.
  3. Start a Godot Project.
  4. Drag the main window to another monitor than whatever one it decides to open on.
  5. Click any of the menu bar items in the top left.

This issue is the same as #66707 and should be fixed by #66712 once merged. If your issue with windows opening off-screen was on beta 1, this was fixed in beta 2, but this is also what introduced your current issue.
