3DP4ME was started in 2015 by Jason Szolomayer, and they have a team of 15 who work to serve real human needs with practical 3D Printing. Currently, they are focusing on their Hearing Express initiative, which aims to bring modern solutions (hearing aids currently with plans to expand to prosthetics) to people with hearing loss in low-income countries. Using this technology allows the process to be quicker, cheaper, on location, and custom fit for each individual.
3DP4ME is beginning their operations in Jordan, which will greatly increase the amount of hearing aids they will be shipping. With this increased volume, they will need more volunteers and a way to manage the many hearing aids in the development and distribution process.
To do this, they need a system that will help track individual hearing aids and where they are in the development process. Our dashboard will separate each step of design + manufacturing so that volunteers can work on the section they specialize in, helping 3DP4ME efficiently develop hearing aids at a larger scale with more volunteers in a more organized fashion.
To get started, complete this one time setup:
- obtain
development.envfiles for both the frontend and backend directories. - Run
yarnin the root folder,/frontend, and/backend - Run
yarn buildin/frontend
Then, every time you want to run the app
- Run
yarn startin the/frontend - Run
yarn startin the/backend
