By enabling this option, programs such as patchage, qsynth and vmpk (all three installed with apt-get) work. With this option enabled and those programs installed, I was able to hook up my Novation Launchkey 49 USB MIDI keyboard to my ODROID-XU3 and play some melodies. (I used an external power source for the USB MIDI keyboard.)

Before using nla_get_u32(), better make sure the attribute
is of the proper size.

Code recently was changed, but bug has been there from beginning
of git.

It seems that rtnl_group_changelink() can call do_setlink
while a prior call to validate_linkmsg(dev = NULL, ...) could
not validate IFLA_ADDRESS / IFLA_BROADCAST

Make sure do_setlink() calls validate_linkmsg() instead
of letting its callers having this responsibility.

With help from Dmitry Vyukov, thanks a lot !

Owersun pushed a commit to Owersun/linux-hardkernel that referenced this pull request Sep 26, 2018
[ Upstream commit 644c7ee ]

It seems that rtnl_group_changelink() can call do_setlink
while a prior call to validate_linkmsg(dev = NULL, ...) could
not validate IFLA_ADDRESS / IFLA_BROADCAST

Make sure do_setlink() calls validate_linkmsg() instead
of letting its callers having this responsibility.

With help from Dmitry Vyukov, thanks a lot !

Before using nla_get_u32(), better make sure the attribute
is of the proper size.

Code recently was changed, but bug has been there from beginning
of git.

mdrjr pushed a commit that referenced this pull request Dec 11, 2018
commit 644c7ee upstream.

It seems that rtnl_group_changelink() can call do_setlink
while a prior call to validate_linkmsg(dev = NULL, ...) could
not validate IFLA_ADDRESS / IFLA_BROADCAST

Make sure do_setlink() calls validate_linkmsg() instead
of letting its callers having this responsibility.

With help from Dmitry Vyukov, thanks a lot !

This is because acpi_debugger.lock has not been initialized as
acpi_debugger_init() is not called when ACPI is disabled. Fail module
loading to avoid this and any subsequent problems that might arise by
trying to debug AML when ACPI is disabled.
