Description

Add a new data resource for an Azure SQL database running on an Azure SQL Server instance.

New or Affected Resource(s)

  • azurerm_sql_server
  • azurerm_sql_database

Potential Terraform Configuration

data "azurerm_sql_server" "server" {
  name                = "sql-server"
  resource_group_name = "${azurerm_resource_group.example-rg.name}"
}

data "azurerm_sql_database" "sql-db" {

This has been released in version 2.3.0 of the provider. Please see the Terraform documentation on provider versioning or reach out if you need any assistance upgrading. As an example:

provider "azurerm" {
    version = "~> 2.3.0"
}
# ... other configuration ...
