Update: I just remembered that this major release version will also migrate the code to Kotlin. Kotlin support was not available in Cordova-Android 8.x. Kotlin support started from 9.0.0. |

Additional Notes: Cordova-Android 8.0.0 is still listed as supported but has not been finalized.
This plugin does not work out of the box with Cordova-Android 8.x and has not been fully tested for version 3.0.0.
There is a high chance that Cordova-Android 8.x is going to be removed from the support list.
Cordova-Android 9.x and greater is highly recommended and even 10.x is better so everything works out of the box. Changes for 3.0.0 were also tested against 9.x+.
