Documentation Code Camp Events Tracks

Tracks are an effective way to group sessions together so that there's a common theme across all sessions found in a specific room. A track is meant to allow people that are looking for specific content to be able to find it all in one convenient place. In the DNN Community, tracks normally start out as Development, Design, and Administration - then branch out from there to other topics, such as Community or Business. You get the idea.
When you first view the tracks page, there won't be any available. Click the Add Tracks button to create one or many tracks for the event. Don't worry, you can always update this later.
Adding or editing a track is quite simple, as you see below. There are only two fields available, a title and a description. Both will be necessary to best assist you and everyone else with navigating the event.
Once you save your tracks, it will begin to fill out the page in a very "metro tile" styled way. Click edit on any of them to fix any typos or delete them.
If you click on the title of any specific track, you'll be able to do the following:
- Assign sessions to the track
- Delete the track
- Sort sessions in the track (see time slots)
Deleting the track should be self explanatory. When you assign sessions to a track, it's the first step required so that you can sort the sessions, and then properly display the agenda to attendees. First, click on the Assign Sessions button to open the assignment dialog.
The session assignment has been kept as simple as possible. You'll have sessions that haven't been assigned to a track yet on the left, and sessions that have been assigned to the current track on the right. Each side also has a filter that will filter the respective listing to only show the sessions that in some way match that search term.
Once you assign sessions to the track, not only can they be sorted for the agenda, but now attendees can express interest for the individual sessions.
