Initial Date Field implementation complete. I am working on getting leading 0s to work, as well as some little convenience UX nuggets like being able to CMD/CTRL+A to select all, which you could then copy or delete.
We'll see how that feels/looks/if reasonable in the timeframe I'm giving myself.
