Description
Apparently, slate-react version 0.91.4 of slate-react introduced a serious performance regression, that reflects on the perceived responsiveness to typing speed.

Steps
To reproduce the behaviour, use slate-react version 0.91.4 or higher on a big-enough document.
Go back to version 0.91.3 and notice the improvement.

Expectation
I expect the responsiveness to typing on a large document to not degrade.

Environment

  • Slate Version: 0.91.4
  • Operating System: Darwin
  • Browser: Chrome
