We present a computational module capable of simulating flow of elastic objects immersed in a fluid. Besides other applications, this module has been widely used for modelling flow of blood cell suspensions. The module is based on two-component model of fluid and immersed objects. The fluid dynamics is governed by the lattice-Boltzmann method while the objects are modelled by triangular meshes describing deformable surface area of the objects. Both components are linked via two-way dissipative force interaction.
The model is implemented in an open source software ESPResSo as a module called PyOIF.
